Laurence Hart's Information Coalition Honors Fellow bannerWe are pleased to announce that TeraThink Director Laurence Hart has been named the first Information Coalition Honors Fellow by the Information Coalition. The fellows program recognizes the work of individuals that span multiple functionalities in the information industry. These domains include Records Management, Information Management, Enterprise Content Management, and Information Privacy. Laurence received this notable distinction at The Information Governance Conference 2017, one of the leading conferences for experts in the field of information governance.

We are proud of his accomplishments, as well as the knowledge and experience that he brings to our clients at TeraThink. I couldn’t think of a better person to be named ‘First Fellow’ than Laurence Hart”, said TEraThink CEO, Dan Maguire.

Long History of Helping the Information Industry

Laurence has architected a number of information systems throughout his career. He has worked with solutions such as Documentum, Sharepoint, eRoom, Adobe, Alfresco, FileNet, Nuxeo, PC DOCS, and Open Text.  He also was a part of the development and implementation of the Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) standard. Today, most content management systems utilize CMIS as a standard communication interface.  Prior to his current role at TeraThink, Laurence served as the first Chief Information Office of the Association for Information Information Management (AIIM).

Being named an Information Coalition Honors Fellow is an great honor. My industry peers, accomplished in their own right, awarded this me, making it more meaningful. All the people who have come to me afterwards, thanking me for my efforts, was incredible. Having my years of work recognized is amazing and I am extremely honored to have been the first recipient.

Laurence has led a number of digital transformation, records management, business process management, and information governance projects over the course of his career. Through this, Laurence has established himself as a known leader in the content management industry.

InfoGovCon 2017

The Information Coalition held their annual InfoGovCon this past September 26th – 28th, in Providence, Rhode Island. More than 250 experts from around the world in the field of Information Governance regularly attend. Attendees engage in eventsdesigned to encourage learning and sharing. This provides everyone with ample opportunities to share and collaborate with Information Governance experts, practitioners, and vendors.

Once again, TeraThink was an active participant in InfoGovCon. Laurence Hart continued his leadership by organizing the panel on Increasing the Inclusivity in the Information Profession. He also organized and participated InfoGov Improv. This session allowed attendees take a step back and appreciate some of the more absurd aspects of our industry. Laurence’s continued efforts only add to the ways he has contributed to the information profession.
