TeraThink will be a sponsor at the AGA Federal Financial Systems Summit on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 8.30am – 4.15pm at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center.
The summit will address the current state of federal financial management systems initiatives and implementations. The summit will also elicit ideas about the future financial management systems environment including discussion of: shared services in a cloud; common solutions for financial operations; and how modernizing central accounting capabilities enable a more optimized system environment. A report will be produced in the weeks after the event to summarize the summit’s conclusions.

On November 19, 2011 Bikes for the World and 17 enthusiastic volunteers from TeraThink successfully loaded a container of 508 bicycles and 4 sewing machines destined for Costa Rica.
The crew loaded the 40′, 3,000-cubic feet shipping container in 4.5 hours, a new Bikes for the World speed record.
At the same time, TeraThink’s “apprentice mechanics” also compacted some 150 bikes with guidance from BfW volunteer Bob Evans, and reorganized the Lorton storage facility, the former Lorton Prison gymnasium, leaving it ready to load another container later this winter.

As a subcontractor to KPMG, TeraThink was issued a single award for DLA J-8 Stewardship Improvement and Audit Readiness Support. The period of performance is a base year with four option periods.

At the Defense Logistics Agency, TeraThink was awarded a five year Contractor Teaming Arrangement with Accenture to provide SAP Enterprise Business System support services. The first two task orders were awarded and offer a period of performance of one year with options to extend.

At Washington Headquarter Services, Financial Management Directorate, TeraThink was awarded a prime contract for the Revolving Fund Task Force and Internal Control over Financial Reporting Support. The period of performance is one year and the team is comprised of TeraThink, Grant Thornton, and Immersion Consulting.

TeraThink was awarded contract to provide OMB A-123 internal controls assessments and program integrity support for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). The contract is a base period with four option periods.
On August 3, 2011, TeraThink was awarded a prime contract (H98210-11-C-0034) to provide accounting support services to DHRA through 2014. The DHRA is a Field Activity designed to give the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) (USD (P&R)) greater oversight and flexibility in overseeing and coordinating the work of several organizations that directly administer personnel policies, maintain comprehensive databases, and provide a variety of education outreach and research programs. TeraThink’s support includes operational accounting support and maintenance of DHRA’s reimbursable program.
