Using The Power Of The ServiceNow Platform To Serve Customers At Knowledge18

Joe Costellow and Roshan Rao taking a break from Knowledge18 in Las VegasIn May, my colleagues and I attended ServiceNow’s annual conference, Knowledge18. We joined over 18,000 attendees in Las Vegas to meet, learn, share, and collaborate on all things ServiceNow. They presented a wide range of valuable content spanning all aspects of the platform. Cutting Edge Technology at this Year’s AIIM Conference

The Alamo at NightLast month I had the pleasure of going to San Antonio for the 2018 AIIM Conference. As always, AIIM hosted some great conversations and informative presentations. Some of the discussions focused around emerging technologies in the information space, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.

Lots of new technology were discussed in a panel run by Alan Pelz-Sharpe. He and his panelists; Andrea Chiappe, Kashyap Kompella, and Dan Abdul; broke the technologies down and how they impact the world of information management. Alan noted that during his preconference session, a surprising number of people were already very familiar with these new technologies. That is a refreshing realization. Broad understanding in the industry is critical towards creating practical applications with any new technology.

SAP TechEd 2017 Executive Keynote. Björn Goerke speaks dressed as Star Trek's Captain Kirk on the Bridge of the Starship EnterpriseTeraThink attended SAP TechEd 2017 in sunny Las Vegas. SAP transported us from present day Vegas to the final frontier of the digital revolution. The conference kicked off with a keynote from Björn Goerke, SAP’s Chief Technology Officer. As a bonus, he came dressed as the legendary Captain Kirk on the mythical starship Enterprise! Goerke walked us through SAP’s vision of the digital transformation facing many present day organizations in their attempt to go digital (boldly) and blur the lines between their physical and virtual world.

SAP indulged the crowd with some space age demos of their new Leonardo platform to use drones, machine learning, spatial analytics, and computer vision to help Dole to automate farming of hundreds of acres of palm trees. Who doesn’t love drones and artificial intelligence? And what better way to indulge a room full of developers than to dress up as Captain Kirk, wear Vulcan ears, and present from the bridge of the Enterprise? Read More
